818 Añejo Tequila is produced by Kendall Jenner’s 818 brand at Casa Maestri (NOM 1438) in Jalisco, Mexico — 100% Blue Weber agave aged 14 months in American oak barrels, then finished in wine barrels. 818 is named for the area code of Jenner’s hometown of Calabasas, California. The brand won multiple awards on launch including gold at the SIP International Consumer Spirits Competition.
At 14 months, the 818 Añejo sits near the minimum añejo aging threshold (12 months required by regulation) but the dual maturation — American oak followed by wine barrel finish — adds complexity typical of longer-aged expressions. The wine barrel finish contributes light red fruit and tannin notes to the vanilla and caramel profile from the American oak primary aging.
