Bollinger Brut Special Cuvée James Bond Champagne
Description
Bollinger Brut Special Cuvée is the flagship non-vintage Champagne from Bollinger — the iconic Pinot Noir–led house featured as James Bond’s Champagne of choice in nearly every Bond film since 1973.
Bollinger’s reputation rests entirely on quality. Several details set the house apart: 405 acres of estate vineyards, the majority classified Grand or Premier cru, providing two-thirds of the house’s needs (vs. mostly contracted fruit elsewhere); a 60% minimum estate-fruit charter; an unusually high proportion of Pinot Noir (60%+) anchoring the style; Bollinger’s own working cooperage with around 3,000 oak barrels, used for fermenting base wines including 100% barrel fermentation of vintage cuvées; reserve wines aged in magnum bottles for non-vintage blending; and all vintage bottles aged under natural cork, hand-riddled and hand-disgorged.
