Castarède VSOP is a Bas-Armagnac aged around a decade in oak — a fruity, lightly spiced expression from Maison Castarède, the oldest Armagnac trading house in the world.
Maison Castarède, founded in 1832 in southwest France, is now run by sixth-generation Florence Castarède. The VSOP is a blend of three classic Armagnac grapes — roughly half Ugni Blanc, with Colombard and Folle Blanche — aged well beyond the legal minimum for the VSOP designation. The result is a balanced, approachable Armagnac with the house's signature finesse.
