Charbay Premiere Release 27 Year Old No. 83 Brandy is the Charbay Premiere Release brandy — double-distilled in Charbay’s Alambic Charentais pot still from 100% Folle Blanche (the classic Cognac variety), then aged for 27 years in new French Limousin and Nevers oak barrels.
Founded in 1983, Charbay Distillery & Winery is owned and managed by Master Distiller Miles Karakasevic, his wife Susan, son Marko, and Marko’s wife Jenni. The Karakasevics are considered pioneers of the American artisan distillery movement — a family with a long line of distillers dating back to 1751 in the former Yugoslavia. In 2009 Marko became the family’s 13th-generation Master Distiller. Charbay is based in Napa Valley on Spring Mountain above St. Helena, California.
