Charles Heidsieck Champagne Brut Millésimé
Description
Charles Heidsieck Brut Millésimé is the vintage Brut of Charles Heidsieck — a deep golden Champagne with delicate, lively effervescence, autumn-warm fragrances of candied chestnuts, honey, praline, and lightly toasted hazelnuts, with an opulent palate of roasted apricots, dates, and figs.
In 1851, young Charles Heidsieck founded his own Champagne house in Reims and traversed the United States promoting the brand — earning him the nickname “Champagne Charlie.” The house style emphasizes a high proportion of reserve wines and extended aging in 2,000-year-old chalk cellars. Only 60 crus from Champagne are blended for Charles Heidsieck cuvées, with three stylistic pillars: Grand Cru Chardonnay from Oger, Grand Cru Pinot Noir from Ambonnay, and distinctive Pinot Meunier from Verneuil.
