Charles Heidsieck Champagne Rosé Millésime (2005)
Description
Charles Heidsieck Rosé Millésime 2005 is the vintage rosé of Charles Heidsieck — elegant pearly pink with delicate, joyful effervescence, a deep nose of kirsch and exceptionally ripe cherries, plums, pomegranates, and cranberries, with luxurious indulgence on the palate and terrific breadth.
In 1851, young Charles Heidsieck founded his own Champagne house in Reims and traversed the United States promoting the brand — earning him the nickname “Champagne Charlie.” The 2005 rosé vintage shows the spirit of the year with the characteristic brioche and fresh butter notes the vintage delivered. Only 60 crus from Champagne are blended for Charles Heidsieck cuvées, with three stylistic pillars: Grand Cru Chardonnay from Oger, Grand Cru Pinot Noir from Ambonnay, and distinctive Pinot Meunier from Verneuil.
