Coppersea Corn Whiskey
Description
Coppersea Corn Whiskey is an ultra-premium American corn whiskey from Coppersea Distilling in West Park, New York — produced sustainably on a 70-acre Hudson Valley farm, with on-site well water, locally sourced corn, and direct-fired alembic copper pot still distillation.
Established in 2011 by co-founder and Master Distiller Angus MacDonald, Distillery Manager Christopher Williams, and CEO Michael Kinstlick, Coppersea is one of only four distilleries in the United States with its own floor malting space. Grain is spread fresh and moist across the malting floor for about five days; fermentation runs in two 500-gallon American-made wood mash tubs (one corn, one rye); the mash travels to the stills by gravity; distillation is carried out in hand-hammered alembic copper stills set inside a custom-built still oven.
