Don Valente Bonita Extra Añejo is a 100% blue agave tequila aged nine years in fine French oak barrels — well beyond the three-year minimum for the extra añejo category — presenting a dark amber color with golden hues and a thick, luminous body.
The hand-crafted Bonita bottle is inspired by the agave goddess Mayahuetl, with a cap that resembles a traditional blue agave. Nine years in French oak produces an unusually deep, integrated wood character: French oak is tighter-grained and more tannic than American oak, contributing dried fruit, chocolate, and fine oak complexity over the cooked-agave base.
