King's Ginger Liqueur
Description
The King’s Ginger is a high-strength golden ginger liqueur crafted from the maceration of ginger root with zesty lemon oil — originally formulated by Berry Bros. & Rudd in 1903 specifically for King Edward VII to invigorate and revive him during his open-air drives in his new Daimler horseless carriage. A pronounced spicy ginger flavor with a clean lemon finish.
Berry Bros. & Rudd is one of London’s oldest wine and spirits houses, founded in 1698. The King’s Ginger was commissioned as a royal restorative and has remained in production with the same approach for over a century. Excellent neat as a digestif, over ice, in a Whisky Mac variation, or as a winter cocktail ingredient with bourbon, Scotch, or rye.
