Korbel California Brandy
Description
Korbel California Brandy is a small-batch California brandy from the Korbel winery in Sonoma County — producing award-winning brandy since 1889. Aged in fire-charred oak barrels that leave a layer of natural charcoal in contact with the brandy, giving it a golden amber color, rich butterscotch aroma, and an extra-smooth taste.
Founded by Francis Korbel, who emigrated from Bohemia and established the family’s Russian River Valley operation, Korbel began shipping its California brandy in 1889 — seven years after its champagne debut — and was internationally known as an award-winning brandy by the turn of the century. Slow aging in contact with both oak and natural charcoal is the signature of the house style.
