Leopold Brothers Three Chamber Rye
Description
Leopold Brothers Three Chamber Rye is a cask-strength, bottled-in-bond rye whiskey distilled in Leopold Bros’ trademark three-chamber still — a 19th-century rye-whiskey distillation method that the Denver-based distillery painstakingly revived in modern production.
The three-chamber still was the dominant still type for American rye whiskey before Prohibition, prized for the depth, weight, and aromatic complexity it produces compared to the column stills that replaced it in the 20th century. Leopold Brothers commissioned the rebuilding of this still type to make it again — making this whiskey one of the few rye whiskies on the market today distilled the way pre-Prohibition rye was made. Bottled in bond (at least four years old, single distillery, single distilling season, 100 proof minimum).
