Loch & Union Barley Gin is a Napa Valley craft gin from Loch & Union Distillery — an upstart distillery near the Napa offices that began making gin while their malt whiskey matures. Founded by two long-time friends who spent nearly three years planning every detail of their operation. The gin is distilled from 100% malted barley, producing a soft grain quality complemented by a strong botanical mix anchored by juniper and coriander, with a hint of zest from start to finish.
Single malt-base gins (using malted barley rather than the typical neutral grain spirit) deliver more cereal depth and richer mouthfeel than standard production gins. Loch & Union’s underlying ambition is malt whiskey, with the gin program funding the longer-aged whiskey aging period.
