Description
Grappa is a distilled spirit, made from fermenting and distilling the solid part of grapes called pomace. In 1973, the Nonino family invented the single varietal grappa, Monovitigno Nonino, by distilling the pomace of Picolit grapes.
Il Moscato di Nonino Grappa Vigneti Monovitigno is made from selected and destalked pomace that is harvested fresh and soft from Moscato grapes, used in sweet and sparkling Italian wines. Distillation takes place immediately after fermentation in copper steam stills without heads and tails – the result of Benito Nonino's innovation to preserve the purest part of grappa, the heart. Bottled at 82 proof, this is an elegant, aromatic and sensual spirit that should be enjoyed at about 12°C or in an icy open tulip shaped glass.
