This is the first Birthday Bourbon vintage bottled at the new Old Forester Distilling Co. on Louisville’s Historic Whiskey Row, and each bottle is signed by Campbell Brown.
Old Forester is America’s first bottled bourbon, with an unbroken production history dating to 1870. The annual Birthday Bourbon release commemorates the September 2 birthday of founder George Garvin Brown, with each year’s release drawn from a single day of distillation. The 2018 release is historically significant as the first Birthday Bourbon bottled at the new Old Forester distillery on Whiskey Row, and the Campbell Brown signature — the current president of the company and great-great-grandson of George Garvin Brown — makes this an especially collectible release.
