Wilderness Trail Small Batch Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon is a rye small-grain bourbon released in small batches of up to 12 barrels — each batch the product of a single fermenter, capturing the complex notes of multiple barrels of the same distillate. This is the rye-recipe bourbon, not the wheated version.
The mash bill is 64% corn, 24% rye, and 12% malted barley with proprietary yeast strains. Barreled at 110 proof (off the still around 137 proof) in toasted, #4-char cooper-select barrels, and aged in Rickhouse A (mid-to-upper floor) and Rickhouse B (warehouse center). Bottled in Bond invites a side-by-side with the wheated single barrel.
