Ak Zanj Haitian Dark Rum 15 Year is the long-aged premium expression of the Ak Zanj Haitian dark rum range — aged 15 years in 227-liter single-cask Limousin oak ex-Cognac barrels, drawing additional structural complexity from the Cognac heritage of the barrel. “Ak Zanj” translates from Creole as “With Angels,” a reference to the Angel’s Share lost to evaporation, which can reach 10% annually in Haiti’s tropical climate — making this a particularly remarkable 15-year survivor.
