Aqua Collection Ambre French Brandy is a French brandy from The House of Valdronne — a subsidiary of Lucien Bernard & Company, the Bordeaux distillery founded by Lucien Bernard on January 18, 1928 along the banks of the Garonne. The Ambre expression is a blend of young wine spirits sourced from great white wine vineyards worldwide, aged in the distillery’s cellars and bottled at a brilliant deep gold color.
Starting in 1959, Lucien Bernard & Company began purchasing wine spirits from around the world and aging this vast range in its cellars — a strategic approach that culminated in 2011 with the founding of Aqua de Valdronne, the producer’s house-blending brand. The Ambre Brandy is built from this global blending heritage rather than a single regional French eau-de-vie tradition.
