Averna is a classic Italian after-dinner liqueur and a traditional amaro. Made in Sicily, Averna is velvety on the palate with orange hints balanced with licorice and Mediterranean herbs such as myrtle, juniper, rosemary, sage and aromatic resins. Averna is still made using the same recipe originally made popular by Salvatore Averna in Caltanissetta in 1868.
