Booker's Bourbon Batch 2018-03 "Kentucky Chew"
Description
Booker’s Bourbon Batch 2018-03 ‘Kentucky Chew’ is a tribute to legendary distiller Booker Noe — a cask-strength, unfiltered Kentucky Straight Bourbon from the Jim Beam Small Batch Collection, aged 7 to 9 years in virgin American oak, bottled at approximately 130 proof, and named for the way Booker Noe would taste his bourbon by rolling it around his mouth.
Booker Noe was Jim Beam’s master distiller from 1954 to 1992 and a founding figure of the modern craft bourbon movement. He created Booker’s in the 1980s as an ultra-premium cask-strength, unfiltered expression taken directly from the center of the warehouse, where temperature variations are most extreme. Each batch is named to reflect Booker’s philosophy; ‘Kentucky Chew’ honors the tasting technique he taught — working the bourbon around the mouth to understand its full flavor.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Kentucky Chew?
The Kentucky Chew is the tasting technique Booker Noe taught — working bourbon around the mouth by moving the jaw as if chewing, activating all the taste receptors across the palate and sides of the tongue to experience the full flavor complexity of an unfiltered cask-strength bourbon.
