Gran Patrón Smoky is an artisanal ultra-premium silver tequila made by roasting agave with mesquite for about seven days in small underground stone pits at the Patrón Hacienda — combining double distillation, the tahona process, and smoking to produce a perfectly balanced, complex smoky character.
The underground mesquite roasting is the defining step, giving Gran Patrón Smoky its distinctive smoke without aging. The tahona stone-crushing and double distillation build a smooth base, while the mesquite pits layer in a mezcal-like smokiness rare in tequila.
