Lalocura is one of the most respected producers in Santa Catarina Minas, the Oaxacan town known for its ancestral clay-pot distillation tradition. Tobala is the most prized of the wild agaves used in mezcal production — a small mountain-grown variety that takes longer to mature than Espadin and yields significantly less spirit per piña. Made using stone-and-clay ovens, copper-and-clay stills, and rigorously traditional methods.
