Description
Lillet Blanc is a classic French aperitif from Bordeaux — a blend of Sémillon-dominant and Sauvignon Blanc grapes with fruit liqueurs, matured in oak vats. Established in 1872, it offers a flowery bouquet of honey, orange blossom, and fresh mint, with a full, fleshy palate of preserved oranges, honey, pine resin, and exotic fruits. Best served well chilled.
Lillet Blanc is traditionally matured in oak vats for several months, echoing the care given to Bordeaux grand cru wines. It is wonderful served chilled over ice with a citrus twist, or as the backbone of cocktails such as the Vesper and Corpse Reviver No. 2.
