Description
The 5 Year Single Cask Sakura Whisky was carefully selected by the owners of Pacific Edge Wine & Spirits, Joel Beth and Rich Trachtenberg, during their trip to Japan in February 2023. This particular batch was aged in a 220 liter cask made from the wood of Sakura trees, also known as cherry blossom trees. Unlike other cherry trees, Sakura trees do not bear fruit but are known for their iconic pink and white flowers that bloom for a short time each spring, symbolizing luck, love, and the fleeting nature of life. The unique flavors of the Sakura wood come through in this whisky, offering bold red fruit, delicate floral scents, and a touch of exotic incense.
