McKenzie Bottled in Bond Wheated Bourbon
Description
McKenzie Bottled-in-Bond Wheated Bourbon is the BiB wheated expression from Finger Lakes Distilling (NY State Farm Distillery) — made from local corn (70%), red winter wheat (20%), and malted barley (10%). It meets the strict requirements of the Bottled-in-Bond Act: the product of a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).
Finger Lakes Distilling has been a pioneer in the New York State craft distilling movement for over a decade, controlling all aspects of production from grain to bottle. The wheated mashbill (red winter wheat instead of rye in the secondary grain position) produces a softer, more rounded bourbon character in the same lineage as Maker’s Mark, W.L. Weller, and the Van Winkle wheated bottlings.
