Pasquet Pineau des Charentes
Description
Pasquet Pineau des Charentes is a classic Pineau apéritif from the Pasquet family’s 7.5-hectare Éraville estate in Grande Champagne — made by fortifying unfermented Cognac-region grape must with the family’s own Cognac, in the traditional Charentes apéritif style. A property producing Cognac and Pineau since 1730.
Pineau des Charentes is the historic apéritif of the Cognac region, made by stopping the fermentation of fresh grape must with the addition of young Cognac. The result is a sweet, fortified wine-spirit with about 17-18% ABV, served chilled as an apéritif or with melon, foie gras, and roquefort. Jean-Luc Pasquet leads the operation, inheriting the estate from his uncle Albert.
