The Macallan Litha Single Malt Scotch
Description
The Macallan Litha is a limited single malt matured exclusively in 100% first-fill sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain — a radiant, fruit-forward expression named for the ancient Celtic summer solstice festival, first released in 2023.
Litha celebrates the meeting of two worlds: Scottish spirit and Spanish oak. The story begins in the vineyards of Jerez de la Frontera, where the sherry-seasoned casks are crafted to The Macallan's specification before travelling to the Easter Elchies estate to be filled with new-make spirit. Maturation entirely in first-fill sherry-seasoned oak gives Litha its deep gold colour — natural, with no added colouring — and a lush, approachable character. The bottle's artwork, by artist Sija Hong, uses a central tree motif and a blue-and-red palette to represent the union of Scotland and Spain.

- What casks is it matured in? Exclusively 100% first-fill sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, with natural colour and no added colouring.
