Trader Vic's Amaretto Liqueur is an almond-flavored liqueur from Trader Vic's, the brand built on the legacy of Victor J. “Trader Vic” Bergeron — the Oakland restaurateur who invented the Mai Tai in 1944 and exported Polynesian-style drinking culture worldwide.
Bergeron grew up in the food business and, in 1932, opened a small Oakland pub called Hinky Dink's. By 1936 it had become Trader Vic's, and the tiki empire that followed gave the cocktail world some of its most enduring drinks. The Trader Vic's liqueur range carries that bar-built heritage into mixable cocktail ingredients.
Sweet and almond-forward, amaretto works in classic cocktails such as the Amaretto Sour and Godfather, stirred into coffee, or poured over ice.
